The ductility and corrosion resistance of duplex steel fasteners are reminiscent of their austenitic microstructure. On the other hand, the toughness and hardness of these fasteners are inherited from the ferritic region.

ASTM A240 UNS S32750 Plate is a stainless steel alloy with excellent resistance to chloride stress-related corrosion cracking.

Super Duplex 2507 (F53 / 1.4410 / UNS S32750) has excellent corrosion resistance to a variety of media, and has excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in seawater and other chloride-containing environments, with a critical pitting temperature exceeding 50¡ãC.

Alloy 2205 duplex stainless steel plate has better pitting and crevice corrosion resistance than 316L or 317L austenitic stainless steel in almost all corrosive media.

2507 has high resistance to stress corrosion cracking (especially chloride stress corrosion cracking), high energy absorption, high strength, and erosion. Essentially, and the Duplex alloys are a compromise.

Duplex 2205 fasteners have high toughness and hardness while also possessing high levels of tensile strength, all as a result of the chromium present in them. However, it can be concluded that dual phase steel fasteners are undeniable; neither deformed nor damaged. This anomaly is much less likely to happen. 2205 Duplex Fasteners consume delicate structures made from ferritic and austenitic stainless steels that are considered part of an alloy, and the end result provides excellent mechanical properties in duplex fasteners.

This alloy resists chloride environments and sulfide stress corrosion. It is also roughly double the strength of standard austentic stainless steels.

AISI S32750 plate has good corrosion resistance compared to Duplex. The material of the super duplex steel S32750 plate has higher corrosion resistance.
