Mixed Austenitic Ferritic Microstructure ¨C The steel gets its name because the microstructure of the 2205 duplex stainless steel fastener alloy is a duplex or duplex alloy. This duality of austenitic ferrite leads to changes in the alloy.

A182 F51 Duplex stainless steel composed of 21% chromium, 2.5% molybdenum and 4.5% nickel-nitrogen alloy. It has high strength, good impact toughness and good overall and local stress corrosion resistance.

Duplex 2205 stainless steel round bars (ASTM A276/ ASTM A479) exhibit good heat resistance up to 300¡ã. SS Rod can be easily welded by most standard methods, the only mandatory requirement is the use of filler metal. Due to its high strength, machinability is low.

2205 fasteners are widely used in applications requiring good corrosion resistance and strength. Has excellent corrosion resistance; much higher than other grades. It eliminates localized corrosion types such as intergranular corrosion, pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion. Duplex 2205 bolts are ideal for environments containing chlorides and hydrogen sulfide for oil and gas extraction from sour wells, refineries, and chloride-contaminated process solutions.

Duplex stainless steel is designed to combine improved resistance to stress corrosion cracking (including sulfide stress corrosion cracking), pitting, crevice corrosion and high strength when compared with other stainless alloys.

Astm A479 Super Duplex Steel UNS S32760 Hex Bolts have a high PREN value, the rate of pitting is lower, despite the use of these fasteners in highly corrosive environments such as oil wells and pipelines transporting soured oils, sulfide ores processing, kraft paper production plants, methionine and lysine factories, as well as the photographic industry.

Duplex 2507 (UNS S32750) is a super duplex stainless steel with 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum, and 7% nickel designed for demanding applications which require exceptional strength and corrosion resistance, such as chemical process, petrochemical, and seawater equipment.

Its impact strength or hardness properties inherited from the ferritic side make 2507 stainless steel round bar suitable for structural applications including bridge construction and more.

The duplex material contains bot the austenitic and ferrite structures in the metallurgy of the material. These properties bring the material the best of both ferritic and austenitic steel types. The pipes could be hot rolled or cold drawn. The hot rolled ones are stronger and the cold drawn ones are seamless and accurate in dimensions. The material for UNS S32760 Stud Bolts is about 10% lighter when compared to grade 316 stainless steel. The Stud Bolt S32760 demonstrates high performance at cryogenic temperature settings as well. Which means that the ASTM A1082 UNS S32760 has good sub-zero notch ductility properties down to a temperature of minus 50¡ãC.

Super Duplex UNS S32750 bar has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chlorine containing environments. After heating to a solution treatment temperature of 1080¡ãC to 1120¡ãC, quenching is required.

It reaches the phase balance of austenite and ferrite in roughly same volume fraction.
