2205 duplex stainless steel is more than double that of ordinary austenitic stainless steel. This characteristic allows designers to reduce weight when designing products, giving this alloy a price advantage over 316,317L.

Super Duplex UNS S32750 bar has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chlorine containing environments. After heating to a solution treatment temperature of 1080¡ãC to 1120¡ãC, quenching is required.

Alloy 2205 provides pitting and crevice corrosion resistance superior to 316L or 317L austenitic stainless steel tube in almost all corrosive media. It also has high corrosion and erosion fatigue properties as well as lower thermal expansion and higher thermal conductivity than austenitic.

The duplex structure provides 2507 with exceptional resistance to pitting and chloride stress corrosion cracking.

Alloy 32750 is a super duplex stainless steel supplied in hot worked and solution annealed conditions.

The S31803 fastener series demonstrates the properties of ferritic and austenitic stainless steels. These fasteners exhibit excellent resistance to crevice corrosion, stress corrosion cracking and pitting corrosion in harsh environments. In addition, these are excellent in resistance to chloride and sulfide stress corrosion environments.

Some steels also contain the alloy elements such as Mo, Cu, Nb, Ti and N, etc. Compared with ferritic stainless, duplex stainless steel has higher plasticity, ductility and better intergranular corrosion resistance and weldability.

Duplex stainless steel has an array of various benefits such as:
Strength:Duplex stainless steels have approximately double the strength of regular austenitic or ferritic stainless steels.
Toughness and ductility:Duplex stainless steels exceed the toughness and ductility of ferritic grades although they are not as touch as austenitic grades.
Corrosion resistance:As with all stainless steels, corrosion resistance depends mostly on the composition of the stainless steel, with chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen content being the most important. It is also exceptionally resistance to chloride SCC. Flanges are supplied with pitting resistance equivalent that is assuring very good pitting corrosion resistance.

Duplex 2205 alloy is composed of high chromium and low or moderate nickel conutenut.

Duplex stainless steels are approximately 50% ferrite and 50% austenite for optimum strength and corrosion resistance.

ASTM A182 Grade F51 is the standard duplex stainless steel and is also called ¡°duplex 2205¡± or ¡°alloy 2205¡±.

The ASTM A182 F53 UNS S32750 Flange comes under the ASTM A182 specification for high temperature and high pressure services.

In the annealed condition, S31803 contains approximately 40-50% ferrite. S31803 is often referred to as the workhorse grade and is the most widely used grade in duplex stainless steel pipes. The use of S31803 stainless steel pipe should be limited to temperatures below 600¡ãF.

The raised face allows for the flange to have more bolt holes and connection surface while the welded neck grips the pipe in place. The applications are oil and gas, petroleum, petrochemical and other industrial applications.

ASTM A479 Duplex Stainless Steel 1.4462 Punched Gaskets are SCC resistant which is prominent in many applications such as hot water tanks, brewing tanks, desalination plants and processing plants. Therefore, ASTM A479 Duplex Stainless Steel UNS S31803 Lock Washers exhibit the properties of ferritic and austenitic alloys.

The corrosion resistance properties of Duplex 2205 Pipe is much better as compared to alloy grade 316.

S32760 is a super duplex stainless steel with a ferritic-austenitic microstructure.

2507 has Good general corrosion resistance, Suggested for applications up to 600¡ã F, and Low rate of thermal expansion.
