Hastelloy C-276 pipe fittings refer to factory-made wrought nickel alloy fittings manufactured to ASTM B366 UNS N10276. Alloy C276 Forged Flange Hastelloy C276 Flanges are made up of the nickel chromium molybdenum alloy that is called hastelloy. The composition includes 50.99% nickel, 14.5% chromium, 15% molybdenum and carbon, manganese, silicon, sulfur, cobalt, iron and phosphorus in it. The Hastelloy C276 Flanges have high melting point of 1370 degrees Celsius. This high melting point allows for higher operating temperatures of the flanges. The material also has 790MPa minimum tensile strength and 355MPa minimum yield strength.

Hastelloy Nickel Alloy B2 is a very chemically resistant alloy with high resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking in the heat affected zone. In particular, this alloy performs well in harsh environments such as sulfuric acid, hydrogen chloride and phosphoric acid. Hastelloy C276 is an extremely versatile material that has been used in a variety of harsh environments. It exhibits corrosion resistance to chloride-containing media, organic acids, oxidizing media, reducing acids, seawater and brine, and sulphur-containing flue gas. Hastelloy C276 replaces Alloy C (UNS N10002), which has slightly lower chromium and molybdenum contents. The high nickel, molybdenum and tungsten contents make them expensive compared to austenitic stainless steels. It is by far the most popular super alloy.

The sheer variety of pipe bend sizes and materials also make them suitable for routing everything from hot or caustic liquids to maintaining pressure and movement in high viscosity liquids or those with suspended solids, such as Oil Sands slurry lines which contains a high concentration of silica sand.

Hastelloy C-4 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with outstanding high temperature stability. It has high ductility and corrosion resistance. It’s high temperature resistance up to 1900 ¡ãF (1038 ¡ãC) makes it suitable for most chemical process application in the “as” welded condition.
Like other nickel alloys, it is ductile, easy to form and weld, and possesses exceptional resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chloride-bearing solutions (a form of degradation to
which the austenitic stainless steels are prone). With its high chromium and molybdenum
contents, it is able to withstand both oxidizing and non-oxidizing acids, and is resistant to
pitting and crevice attack in the presence of chlorides and other halides.

HASTELLOY C-276 alloy has excellent resistance to a variety of chemical process environments, including strong oxidizing agents such as ferric and copper chlorides, hot fouling media (organic and inorganic), chlorine, formic and acetic acids, acetic anhydride, and Seawater and brine solutions. It can be used in flue gas desulfurization systems due to its excellent resistance to sulfur compounds and chloride ions in most scrubbers.

Hastelloy G-30 is an improved version of nickel-chromium-iron-molybdenum-copper alloy G-3. With higher chromium, added cobalt and tungsten, the G-30 shows superior corrosion resistance over most other nickel and iron based alloys in commercial phosphoric acids as well as complex environments containing highly oxidizing acids. The resistance of the alloy to the formation of grain boundary precipitates in the heat-affected zone makes it suitable for use in most chemical process applications in the as-welded condition.

The thermal stability of Hastelloy B3 pipes is superior.

Hastelloy c-22 and c-276 are the only materials resistant to corrosion in wet chlorine, hypochlorite, and chlorine dioxide solutions, with significant resistance to high chloride solutions such as ferric and cupric chlorides. Corrosion resistance.

C276 is forged between 2250/1750oF (1230/955oC) and then soaked at the forging temperature for 30 minutes per inch of billet or ingot section thickness. Forging should begin immediately, the billet is removed from the reheat furnace, a 25/40% reduction helps retain as much internal heat as possible. HASTELLOY(r) C276 is solution heat treated at 1121¡ãC (2050¡ãF) and then rapidly quenched. In the case of forging or hot forming, parts should be solution heat treated prior to use.
