Hastelloy G30 Hastelloy alloy is a kind of nickel base high temperature alloy composed of nickel, chromium, cobalt, tungsten and other elements, the nickel content is about 37%.

Hastelloy C-4 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with outstanding high temperature stability. It has high ductility and corrosion resistance. It’s high temperature resistance up to 1900 ¡ãF (1038 ¡ãC) makes it suitable for most chemical process application in the “as” welded condition.
Like other nickel alloys, it is ductile, easy to form and weld, and possesses exceptional resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chloride-bearing solutions (a form of degradation to
which the austenitic stainless steels are prone). With its high chromium and molybdenum
contents, it is able to withstand both oxidizing and non-oxidizing acids, and is resistant to
pitting and crevice attack in the presence of chlorides and other halides.

The exceptional corrosion resistance of C22 has promoted its use in many different markets wherever harsh environments are encountered, including the chemical process, pharmaceutical, food processing, oil and gas, power generation, and the paper industries.

Hastelloy C2000 fasteners combine the excellent resistance to oxidizing media of C276 with excellent resistance to non-oxidizing environments, making it a unique alloy for protecting chemical process equipment under a variety of conditions, including fluids contaminated with iron ions . This is achieved by increasing the content of chromium and molybdenum and adding a small but effective amount of copper (1.6%). The addition of copper increases the temperature capability of C2000 fasteners in sulfuric, hydrofluoric, and dilute hydrochloric acids.

HASTELLOY C276 is one of the few alloys resistant to wet chloride gas, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solutions.

It is used in flue gas desulfurizations systems because of its excellent resistance to sulfur compounds and chloride ions encountered in most scrubbers. C-276 alloy has excellent resistance to pitting and to stress- corrosion cracking.

Nickel Alloy C-276 and Hastelloy C-276 can be welded by all common welding methods (oxyacetylene is not recommended).
