Hastelloy B2 prevents the formation of grain boundary carbide precipitates in the weld heat affected zone, making it suitable for most chemical process applications in the as-welded condition. The heat affected weld zone reduces the precipitation of carbides and other phases to ensure uniform corrosion resistance.
Alloy B2 also has excellent resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking.

Alloy B-2 has poor corrosion resistance to oxidizing environments, therefore, it is not recommended for use in oxidizing media or in the presence of iron or copper salts, which may cause rapid premature corrosion failure.

The versatility of INCONEL 600 alloy allows it to be used in a variety of applications involving temperatures ranging from cryogenic temperatures to over 2000¡ãF (1095¡ãC).

This alloy is widely used in the chemical industry for its strength and corrosion resistance. Applications include heaters, stills, bubble columns, and condensers for fatty acid processing; evaporator tubes, tube sheets, and sheeting trays for the manufacture of sodium sulfide; and equipment for processing abietic acid in pulp production.

This grade has surpassed its original intent and overlapped into many industries proving useful owing to its high level of molybdenum amount other elements, which allows 31254 to be used successfully in various applications such as Flue gas desulfurization and Chemical environments.

Alloy 800 has moderate corrosion resistance to many aqueous media and is resistant to stress corrosion cracking due to its nickel content. At high temperatures, it has resistance to oxidation, carburization and vulcanization as well as fracture and creep strength.

The higher molybdenum content of Alloy 317L assures superior general and localized corrosion resistance in most media when compared with 304/304L and 316/316L stainless steels.

One of the distinguishing features of Inconel 718¡¯s composition is the addition of niobium to permit age hardening which allows annealing and welding without spontaneous hardening during heating and cooling.

Alloy 904L outperforms other austenitic stainless steels due to the higher degree of alloying of nickel and molybdenum.

Hastelloy C-276 is the most common corrosion resistant material currently available, but it is not foolproof. Metals should not be exposed to high temperature, strong acid environment. Also, it is easier to work with cold working practices; hot working makes it easier to harden. If hot working, the temperature should be maintained between 1600¡ãF and 2250¡ãF.

Inconel 718 consists primarily of nickel (52%). Alloying elements include iron (19%), chromium (18%), niobium + tantalum (5%), molybdenum (3%), titanium (0.9%), aluminum (0.5%), in addition to other trace elements such as Baron, Cobalt, Copper, Manganese and Silicon.

Alloy 347 stainless steel plate exhibits good general corrosion resistance that is comparable to 304.

304 stainless steel does have one weakness: it is susceptible to corrosion from chloride solutions or saline environments such as the coast.

MONEL K500 is a age-hardenable Nickel-Copper alloy which combines the corrosion resistance of Alloy 400 with high strength corrosion fatigue and erosion resistance.

The following procedure after the marking is the cutting step. The way of cutting differs for various materials. Thus, for carbon steels, the flame cutting method is utilized. Moreover, stainless steel components can be cut using a plasma arc cutting machine. If the plasma arc cutter is used some certain conditions must be maintained.

It has great resistance to stress-corrosion cracking and pitting. Hastelloy B-2? also features hydrochloric acid resistance at all concentrations and temperatures.

Environments that don¡¯t attack 304/304L stainless steel will normally not corrode 317L.

In pressurized water reactors it is used for control rod guide tubes and steam generator baffle plates etc. Furnace retort seals, fans and fixtures.

For service requiring optimum creep and rupture properties, Incoloy 800H or 800 HT are used. The high contents of nickel and chromium in the alloys also give good corrosion resistance.
