MONEL K500 is a age-hardenable Nickel-Copper alloy which combines the corrosion resistance of Alloy 400 with high strength corrosion fatigue and erosion resistance.

It cannot be hardened by heat treatment;?however?the material will harden due to cold working.

Hastelloy C-276 is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium-tungsten alloy with excellent general corrosion resistance and good machinability. The alloy should be considered for use in environments requiring resistance to thermally contaminated inorganic acids, organic and inorganic chloride-contaminated media, chlorine, formic and acetic acids, acetic acid, acetic anhydride, seawater and brine solutions.

These have the advantage of nickel and molybdenum providing resistance against the most reducing environments. The oxidation resistance is also high in these materials due to the addition of the chromium content.

MONEL 400 solid solution alloy can be hardened by cold work, but can be hot worked or cold worked, then annealed into complex structures and welded using an appropriate welding process.

Alloy 800 has moderate corrosion resistance to many aqueous media and is resistant to stress corrosion cracking due to its nickel content. At high temperatures, it has resistance to oxidation, carburization and vulcanization as well as fracture and creep strength.

Monel 400 is used in process vessels, heat exchanger piping, and gasoline and potable water storage tanks in the marine sector. The non-sparking properties of this alloy make it suitable for high-risk situations in the explosives industry, rockets and pulp and paper industries.

In pressurized water reactors it is used for control rod guide tubes and steam generator baffle plates etc. Furnace retort seals, fans and fixtures.

Built-up sections are produced at the factory and is then transported to the original site and assembled. This concept is generally used to build Metro stations, industrial units, warehouses, etc.
