Grade 904L is less resistant to nitric acid than grades 304L and 310L, which are free of molybdenum. This steel grade needs to be solution treated following cold working, to achieve maximum stress corrosion cracking resistance under critical environments

Super Duplex 2507 is designed to handle highly corrosive conditions and where high strength is required. The high molybdenum, chromium and nitrogen content in Super Duplex 2507 helps the material withstand pitting and crevice corrosion.

UNS S32750 or DIN W.Nr. 1.4410, Duplex 2507 is a super duplex stainless steel conutaining 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum and 7% nickel, designed for demanding applications requiring exceptional strength and corrosion resistance, such as chemical Process, petrochemical and seawater equipmenut.

S32760 has very good resistance to localized corrosion and stress corrosion cracking and high mechanical strength.

There are different pressure ratings for the flanges based on the system of measurement. Under the ANSI standard, the pressure classes range from class 150 through class 2500.

Compared with ferritic stainless steel and austenitic stainless steel, duplex stainless steel pipe has good welding performance. It is neither like the welding heat affected zone of ferritic stainless steel, because of the grain coarsening, the plastic toughness is greatly reduced, nor like austenitic stainless steel, it is more sensitive to welding hot cracks.

Super Duplex Alloy UNS S32750 (F53 / 1.4410 / Alloy 32750 / Alloy 2507) combines the most desirable characteristics of both ferritic and austenitic steels.

These grades are excellent for fixed service simple flange connections, but slightly less so when forming a complex metallic shape. Fortunately, the workability of duplex into complex and rounded structures is less of an issue in structural steel given the wide preference for simple mild steel in non corrosive applications.

Super Duplex UNS S32760 Reducing Flanges have a strengthened microstructure, a result of added Nitrogen, allowing fabrication of thin and low-weight flanges that are easy on the pocket.

2205 has good solderability. The motivation for welding dual-phase steels is to maintain the corrosion resistance, toughness and strength of the base metal in the weld metal and heat affected zone.

The material for UNS S32760 Stud Bolts is about 10% lighter when compared to grade 316 stainless steel. The Stud Bolt S32760 demonstrates high performance at cryogenic temperature settings as well. Which means that the ASTM A1082 UNS S32760 has good sub-zero notch ductility properties down to a temperature of minus 50¡ãC.

Duplex stainless steel 2205 alloy is a compound stainless steel composed of 22% chromium, 2.5% molybdenum and 4.5% nickel nitrogen alloy.
It has high strength, good impact toughness and good overall and local stress corrosion resistance.

The material has high strength values. The minimum yield strength is 450MPa and the minimum tensile strength is 620MPa, with 25% minimum elongation and 290HB Brinell hardness.

Duplex alloys have some of the ferritic stress corrosion cracking resistance of common austenitic stainless alloys and many of the superior formability properties that are more cost effective than high nickel alloys.

Duplex stainless steel pipes and fittings are generally less expensive because of the lower proportions of alloying elements used in the manufacture of duplex stainless steels. Compared to austenitic stainless steels, duplex stainless steels have higher yield strengths, so users can buy duplex pipes and duplex pipe fittings in relatively lower thicknesses.

Mixed Austenitic Ferritic Microstructure ¨C The steel gets its name because the microstructure of the 2205 duplex stainless steel fastener alloy is a duplex or duplex alloy. This duality of austenitic ferrite leads to changes in the alloy.

2507 nuts are highly resistant to carbide-related intergranular corrosion due to their low carbon content (0.020% in weight).

Super Duplex UNS S32750 bar has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chlorine containing environments. After heating to a solution treatment temperature of 1080¡ãC to 1120¡ãC, quenching is required.

Duplex steels have high resistance to various types of corrosion. Duplex Steel S31803 is an extremely corrosion-resistant, work-hardenable alloy. Duplex steel S31803 butt weld flanges have good high temperature properties.
