SS 316/316L/316Ti round bars/rods are made from chemical compositions such as carbon, nickel, copper, chromium, titanium, iron and manganese. Austenitic grades maintain high strength at elevated temperatures. This is especially true for grades with high levels of chromium and/or silicon, nitrogen and rare earth elements such as grades 310 and S30815. High chromium ferritic steels like 446 can also exhibit high hot strength. The high chromium content of stainless steel also helps resist scaling at high temperatures.
