304 prefabrication of Pipe Spools magnetic steel

Stainless steel is an ideal corrosion-resistant material, but can only withstand long-term exposure if it is graded for its environment. For most environments, the 304 is an economical and practical choice. The Model 304L is a low carbon version of the 304. It is used on heavy components to improve solderability. Certain products, such as plates and tubes, are available as “two-factor certified” materials to 304 and 304L standards. It contains a high nickel content, typically between 8 and 10.5 weight percent, and a substantial amount of chromium around 18 to 20 weight percent.
