Nickel Alloy 400 and Monel 400, also known as UNS N04400, is a ductile nickel-copper-based alloy consisting primarily of two-thirds nickel and one-third copper. Nickel Alloy 400 is known for its resistance to a variety of corrosive conditions, including alkalis (or acids), salt water, hydrofluoric acid, and sulfuric acid. Since Monel 400 or Alloy 400 is a cold worked metal, this alloy has high hardness, stiffness and strength. By cold working ASTM B164 UNS N04400 bar stock, the alloy is subjected to higher levels of mechanical stress, which in turn causes changes in the alloy’s microstructure.

Nickel-copper-based alloy 400 Monel 2.4360 cold drawn rod is virtually immune to chloride stress-related corrosion cracking when exposed to corrosive media in typical environments. Monel 400 is a copper and nickel based alloy that is popular today due to its high performance. The alloy has excellent acid and alkali resistance. In addition, it has good tensile strength, ductility, excellent thermal conductivity, and can be hardened by cold work. Additionally, it can be used in applications with temperatures ranging from minus to 538 degrees Celsius.

Nickel 200 is a solid solution strengthened metal. Nickel 200 Bar Stock contains 99.6% wrought nickel by weight and is considered commercially pure nickel. DIN 2.4066 Bar has good mechanical and physical properties. For example, ASTM B160 N02200 has excellent resistance to many corrosive compounds as well as corrosive environments. Meanwhile, Nickel 200 is a solid solution strengthened wrought alloy that can be designed as round bars and rods. These two components are used interchangeably and can be distinguished from certain key functions.

Inconel 600 round bar is a nickel-based alloy with benign carburization and excellent corrosion resistance at high temperatures. Inconel 600 round bars are effective against drying Cl2 and many other different gases at mild and high temperatures. Alloy 600 bar is a nickel-chromium alloy with good oxidation resistance and resistance to chloride pressure decomposition cracking, high cleanliness water corrosion and acid oxidation at elevated temperatures.

Alloy 625 has proven to be a highly regarded building material due to its ability to solve a variety of design and application problems.

Strength can be measured using tensile strength, corrosion resistance and even melting resistance. Inconel 625 bar has a tensile strength range of 103-160 Ksi, higher than stainless steel’s 73.2 Ksi, and can withstand higher temperatures. Hastelloy C22 has good versatility and resistance to chloride-induced pitting HASTELLOY? C-22? alloy (UNS N06022) is a well-known nickel-chromium-molybdenum material, some of its main properties are resistance to oxidizing and non-oxidizing chemicals, protection from Subject to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. C22 has a high chromium content and is more resistant to oxidation than C-276 alloy.

Wear-resistant steels such as EN31 tend to have higher strength properties, which make them durable in a wide range of applications. Although the strength of this material is high, it can be increased by tempering the alloy steel EN31 equivalent. In addition to improving their wear resistance, many brittle alloys are tempered for tougher parts. Between 150 – 300¡ãC (i.e. the EN31 tempering temperature), the alloy is heat treated, then impregnated and the material is then quenched. Unlike some alloys that may be quenched in water, EN31 round bar quenching requires the use of oil.

INCONEL Alloy 718 (UNS N07718/W.Nr. 2.4668 ) is a high strength, high temperature and corrosion resistant nickel-chromium alloy. It is suitable for use in low temperatures and in air up to 1300 F. The alloy is easy to work and can be age hardened.

The corrosion resistance of Nickel 200 rod makes it particularly suitable for maintaining product purity in handling food, caustic and synthetic fibers, and in structural applications where corrosion resistance is a primary consideration. Other applications include electrical and electronic parts, chemical transport drums, missiles and aerospace parts. Nickel 201 round bar is a commercially pure wrought alloy with similar properties to Nickel 200 round bar, but with a lower carbon content to avoid embrittlement due to intergranular carbon at elevated temperatures.

Monel k500 round bar is an age hardening nickel base alloy. This nickel-based Monel UNS No5500 triangular bar also contains some elemental copper added to its alloy. Copper is known to have good corrosion resistance when added to Monel UNS 5500 spring steel bar, similar to alloy grade 400.

Titanium additions stabilize the alloy against intergranular corrosion susceptibility by appropriate heat treatment. The resistance of Incoloy? 825 to general and localized corrosion under a variety of conditions makes the alloy versatile.

The alloy 601 also has good resistance to aqueous corrosion.

As an alloy, Inconel 625 consists primarily of nickel, chromium and molybdenum. In addition to these three main metals, trace amounts of niobium are added to the alloy. Alloying any metal will not only enhance its physical properties, but also its mechanical properties. At this point, the addition of molybdenum and niobium to ASTM B446 Inconel 625 forged bar helps strengthen the alloy matrix. The rigid matrix of Alloy 625 bar provides high tensile strength without the use of strengthening heat treatments.
