Super Duplex 2507 cannot be strengthened by heat treating. Annealing is performed at 1920¡ãF – 2060¡ãF (1049¡ãC – 1127¡ãC), followed by rapid cooling.

Designers may have the option to reduce the wall thickness of the duplex 2205 welded pipe, because of its high yield strength. The yield strength of this material is almost two times that of the usually used austenitic stainless steel grade.
