Inconel 600 alloy is a nickel chromium stabilized alloy. It has very good oxidation resistance at higher temperatures. In addition, it has excellent resistance to carburizing and chloride containing atmospheres. It is a non magnetic alloy with very good mechanical properties. Inconel 601 is a chromium and nickel based material for applications requiring heat and corrosion resistance. This material stands out for its resistance to high temperature oxidation.

Super alloys are also known as high performance alloys. They contain many elements in a variety of combinations designed to provide unique material properties for specific applications.

The properties of stainless steel 310 hex head bolts require the addition of alloying elements other than carbon that produce properties that are not achievable with ordinary carbon steel. ASTM A276 Type 310S is a material grade specification for 310S stainless steel cold-worked or hot-worked bar in round, square, hexagonal, and other hot-rolled extruded shapes.

Hastelloy B2 studs have poor corrosion resistance to oxidizing environments and are therefore not recommended for use in oxidizing media or in the presence of iron or copper salts as they may cause rapid premature corrosion failure.

which the austenitic stainless steels are prone). With its high chromium and molybdenum
contents, it is able to withstand both oxidizing and non-oxidizing acids, and is resistant to
pitting and crevice attack in the presence of chlorides and other halides.

Inconel Pipes is not useful in oxidizing acids, such as nitric acid and nitrous. Nevertheless, Inconel ERW Pipes is resistant to most alkalis, salts, waters, food products, organic substances and atmospheric conditions at normal and elevated temperatures.

The higher strength results from close control of carbon, aluminum, and titanium contents in conjunction with a high temp anneal.

Thermodynamically, titanium is a very reactive metal due to its negative redox potential, and it burns in the atmosphere at a temperature lower than its melting point. It can react with chlorine at 550 ?C and can also combine with other halogen gases although it absorbs hydrogen.
