The Stainless Steel 304 Round Bar, as the name suggests is made up of 304 grade stainless steel material. It has around 18% chromium and 8% nickel in its chemical composition. The round bar shows high resistance to corrosion and enhanced strength properties. The material is quite strong with around 515 Mpa min tensile strength and min yield strength of 205 MPa.

Stainless Steel 316L Flange is used to terminate the end of a piping system. The Stainless Steel 316L blind flange is basically a flange that does not have a hub or a bored center. Blind flanges have the face thickness of a flange, a matching face type, and similar bolting pattern. Stainless Steel 316L Blind flanges can also be used to seal a nozzle opening on a pressure vessel.

In conclusion, when looking at 304 vs 316 stainless steel, for applications that require superior corrosion resistance or water resistance, use 316 stainless steel. For other applications, 304 stainless steel will work just as well.
