AL6XN is a superaustenitic stainless steel with outstanding resistance to chloride pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. AL6XN is a 6 moly alloy that was developed for and is used in highly aggressive environments. It has high nickel (24%), molybdenum (6.3%), nitrogen and chromium contents that give it excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, chloride pitting, and exceptional general corrosion resistance. AL6XN is primarily used for its improved pitting and crevice corrosion resistance in chlorides. It is a formable and weldable stainless steel.

304 stainless steel wire or 1.4301 is an 18% chromium, 8% nickel austenitic stainless steel. It is a general purpose wire with good corrosion resistance for a wide range of applications requiring good weldability and/or formability.

SS 254 SMO washer is a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel developed for use in seawater and other aggressive chlorine-containing media. A479 is a specification for bars and rods produced in several grades of austenitic, ferritic, duplex or simply austenitic-ferritic and martensitic stainless steels. Since this designated stainless steel A479 round bar can be produced in any of the above grades, it can be heat treated differently.
