Nickel Alloy 400 and Monel 400, also known as UNS N04400, is a ductile nickel-copper-based alloy consisting primarily of two-thirds nickel and one-third copper. Nickel Alloy 400 is known for its resistance to a variety of corrosive conditions, including alkalis (or acids), salt water, hydrofluoric acid, and sulfuric acid. Since Monel 400 or Alloy 400 is a cold worked metal, this alloy has high hardness, stiffness and strength. By cold working ASTM B164 UNS N04400 bar stock, the alloy is subjected to higher levels of mechanical stress, which in turn causes changes in the alloy’s microstructure.

Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy with excellent corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance and high strength at elevated temperatures. Due to its high nickel content, Inconel 600 is extremely resistant to chloride ion stress corrosion cracking. Age hardening is not required as Inconel 600 is hardened and strengthened by cold work only. The Inconel 600 can operate in temperatures as low as 700¡ãF (370¡ãC).

Nickel-copper-based alloy 400 Monel 2.4360 cold drawn rod is virtually immune to chloride stress-related corrosion cracking when exposed to corrosive media in typical environments. Monel 400 is a copper and nickel based alloy that is popular today due to its high performance. The alloy has excellent acid and alkali resistance. In addition, it has good tensile strength, ductility, excellent thermal conductivity, and can be hardened by cold work. Additionally, it can be used in applications with temperatures ranging from minus to 538 degrees Celsius.

Inconel 600 round bar is a nickel-based alloy with benign carburization and excellent corrosion resistance at high temperatures. Inconel 600 round bars are effective against drying Cl2 and many other different gases at mild and high temperatures. Alloy 600 bar is a nickel-chromium alloy with good oxidation resistance and resistance to chloride pressure decomposition cracking, high cleanliness water corrosion and acid oxidation at elevated temperatures.

Nickel 200 is a solid solution strengthened metal. Nickel 200 Bar Stock contains 99.6% wrought nickel by weight and is considered commercially pure nickel. DIN 2.4066 Bar has good mechanical and physical properties. For example, ASTM B160 N02200 has excellent resistance to many corrosive compounds as well as corrosive environments. Meanwhile, Nickel 200 is a solid solution strengthened wrought alloy that can be designed as round bars and rods. These two components are used interchangeably and can be distinguished from certain key functions.

K-500 is characterized by high corrosion resistance and is an ideal alloy for use in marine environments where constant contact with salt water is required.

Inconel 718 is a precipitation hardening nickel-chromium based superalloy. ASTM B637 UNS N07718 round bars also contain significant amounts of elements such as iron, niobium and molybdenum, and trace amounts of metals such as aluminum and titanium. Aluminum and titanium make Inconel 718 hardenable.

Monel 400 is an alloy of nickel and copper, typically formulated at about 67% nickel and 33% copper.

Inconel 600 have a minimum tensile strength of 550Mpa and minimum yield strength of 205Mpa.

Incoloy 825 is stable annealed at 940°C. The softest structure was obtained at 980°C. Sections heavier than sheet, strip and wire should be quenched to avoid sensitivity.

Monel 400 has excellent corrosion resistance in hot concentrated alkaline solution. Monel 400 also resistant to corrosion of neutral solution, water, sea water, atmosphere and organic compounds.

Inconel 600 is a nickel-based alloy with excellent carburization and good oxidation resistance at high temperatures. This alloy has long been used in the heat treatment industry for many of the same applications as RA330. Alloy 600 has useful resistance to dry Cl2 and HCl gases at moderately elevated temperatures. Due to the elevated nickel content, alloy 600 is not recommended for use in red hot conditions when sulfur is present.

Alloy 718 is a nickel-chromium alloy that is easy to manufacture and has excellent welding characteristics, especially where resistance to post-weld cracking is required.

Inconel 601 is a nickel-chromium alloy with strong oxidation resistance at 2200¡ãF. Alloy 601 produces a tightly adherent scale that resists spalling even under severe thermal cycling. The alloy has good high temperature strength and retains its ductility after prolonged use. Alloy 601 has good resistance to hot corrosion under oxidizing conditions. Alloy 601 is not recommended for strongly reducing sulfur-containing environments.

Unlike austenitic stainless steels, Inconel 625 round bars offer the advantage that they are less susceptible to chloride-induced stress-related corrosion cracking.

Alloy 31 is a nickel, chromium and molybdenum stainless steel with added nitrogen and copper. It combines moderate tensile strength with high ductility, excellent corrosion resistance in sulfuric acid, reducing and oxidizing media, and strong corrosion and erosion corrosion resistance in phosphorus environments.

Incoloy Alloy 800H/800HT round bar has excellent resistance to carburizing, oxidation and nitriding. They are not prone to embrittlement even after extended operation at temperatures up to 12000F to 16000F.

The high performance alloy Inconel 718 round bar inherently derives many good properties from nickel. Inconel 718 bar falls within the scope of the ASTM B637 specification, which in turn covers nickel-based hot-worked and cold-worked precipitation hardening alloys.
