Super Duplex UNS S32760 /F55 Flanges are made up of the super duplex grade of stainless steel. The material has 24% chromium, 6% nickel, 3% molybdenum, copper, tungsten, carbon, nitrogen, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, iron and sulfur. Type 304L is a variant of Type 304 with a low carbon content to improve weldability and reduce the risk of reduced corrosion resistance around the weld. The yield strength and tensile energy of Type 304L are also slightly reduced compared to Type 304.

In general, the Type 316 grade can be considered equally good in a given environment. A notable exception is intergranular corrosion in the heat-affected zone on welds and susceptible alloys in sufficiently corrosive environments. In such media, Type 316L is more suitable for welding conditions than Type 316 because the low carbon content increases resistance to intergranular corrosion.

Alloy 254 is an austenitic stainless steel alloy, whose chemical base consists of high amounts of molybdenum, chromium as well as nickel.

The high chromium and moderate nickel content of 310S stainless steel allow these steels to be used in H2S-containing reduced sulfur atmospheres.
