Due to its thin chemical composition, RA 253 MA is very economical compared to most heat resistant alloys. SME B16.47 317L Pipe Flange hardenability will be reduced if constant feeds and low speeds are used. 317L Stainless steel Flanges can be welded using fusion and resistance methods. In Grade 317 Stainless Steel Pipe flange oxyacetylene welding method is not preferred for this alloy. ASTM A182 SS 317L Slip On Flange does not react to heat treatment. A182 F317/F317L Flange can be hardened by cold working.
