AL6XN is a superaustenitic stainless steel with outstanding resistance to chloride pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. AL6XN is a 6 moly alloy that was developed for and is used in highly aggressive environments. It has high nickel (24%), molybdenum (6.3%), nitrogen and chromium contents that give it excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, chloride pitting, and exceptional general corrosion resistance. AL6XN is primarily used for its improved pitting and crevice corrosion resistance in chlorides. It is a formable and weldable stainless steel.

Grade 1.4404 or 316L is an austenitic stainless steel AISI 316 with very good corrosion resistance due to its high chromium and molybdenum content and low carbon content. Its strength in the hardened state is about 600 MPa for large diameters, but for small sections, the strength can be increased by cold working.

316L stainless steel exhibits better resistance to phosphoric acid than 304L stainless steel. Grade 304L stainless steel has a greater ability to decompose and absorb energy without decomposing than Grade 316L.

These SS 347 flat washers offer high strength, good corrosion resistance, good mechanical properties up to 600¡ãF (316¡ãC), and good toughness in the base metal and weld.
