Grade 304 stainless steel is generally considered the most common austenitic stainless steel.

316L is very similar to 316 in almost every way.?

It was developed for enhanced creep resistance and for higher strength at temperatures above 1000¡ãF (537¡ãC).

HASTELLOY C276 is not prone to grain boundary precipitation in the as welded condition and therefore suitable for many chemical process applications.

Inconel 718 is a precipitation hardenable nickel-chromium alloy with high creep rupture strength at elevated temperatures around 700oC (1290oF). It is stronger than Inconel X-750 and has better mechanical properties at low temperatures than Nimonic 90 and Inconel X-750.

The alloy’s properties make it an excellent choice for sea-water applications, including freedom from local attack (pitting and crevice corrosion), high corrosion-fatigue strength, high tensile strength, and resistance to chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking.

It is used for components that require exposure to sea water and high mechanical stress.

The number of welds on a spool must be kept in a minimum count. The dimension of the spacing between circumferential welds and the center lines must not be larger than the four times the wall thickness of the pipe or fitting. After the main welds, tacks welds must be done precisely. All welds in the spools must be implemented according to proper Welding Procedure Specification (WPS). After the welding process is done, quality control of the components is performed by the specialists.

The combined parts are heat treated with the aim of reducing the induced inner stresses. The heat treatment procedure is performed according to ASME B31.3 standards. Thereafter, the pipe spools must be painted for protection of the surfaces from any corrosion risk.

They are used for high temperature service, where resistance to oxidation and carburisation are required. For optimum stress rupture properties, or for pressure vessel service above 815¡ãC, Incoloy 800H or Incoloy 800HT should be used.

This superalloy is used in a variety of industries such as aerospace, chemical processing, marine engineering, pollution-control equipment, and nuclear reactors.

Alloy K500 is refined by Electro Slag Refining (ESR), ensuring the cleanest and highest quality of material is supplied.

C276 is forged between 2250/1750oF (1230/955oC) and then soaked at the forging temperature for 30 minutes per inch of billet or ingot section thickness. Forging should begin immediately, the billet is removed from the reheat furnace, a 25/40% reduction helps retain as much internal heat as possible. For optimum corrosion resistance, forged parts should be subsequently annealed. See Heat Treatment.

For the supply of water and flammable gases, steel pipes are the most useful pipes. They are used in many homes and businesses to transfer natural gas or propane fuel. They also used for fire sprinkler systems due to their high heat resistance.

Little or no attack occurs at room and elevated temperatures in dry gases, such as chlorine or hydrogen chloride. At temperatures up to 550C in these media, this alloy has been shown to be one of the most resistant of the common alloys.

316 can be annealed to resist weld decay.

Incoloy 825 is a superalloy with molybdenum and copper added to Incoloy 800. This makes Alloy 825 superior to Alloy 800 in terms of corrosion resistance.

The alloy has good oxidation resistance and creep strength to 1500¡ãF (816¡ãC). It also possesses good low temperature toughness.

Pipe spools are pre-shaped to make easier assemble using hoists, gauges and other tools for joining the parts. Pipe spools unite long pipes with flanges from the end of the long pipes so they can be bolted with each other with matching flanges.

Pipe Spools are fabricated from a number of raw pipes and pipe fittings (e.g. elbows, flanges, tees, etc.) in fabrication shops.

This nickel alloy exhibits characteristics like good corrosion resistance, good weldability and high strength.

These connections are embedded inside concrete walls before the pouring of concrete. This system must be aligned properly before concrete pouring because it needs to withstand the weight and force of the structure.

316L also is a great stainless steel for high-temperature, high-corrosion uses, which is why it’s so popular for use in construction and marine projects.

Monel K500 is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-copper alloy that combines the excellent corrosion resistance characteristic of Monel 400 with the added advantage of greater strength and hardness.

A nickel alloy of this type also has great resistance to hydrochloric acid at different concentrations and temperatures.

In pressurized water reactors it is used for control rod guide tubes and steam generator baffle plates etc. Furnace retort seals, fans and fixtures.
