ASTM B381 Titanium Seamless Pipe can be cold drawn or hot rolled. Cold-worked tubes should be heat treated at a temperature not lower than 1000¡ãF (538¡ãC). Hot worked pipe above 1400¡ãF (760¡ãC) does not require further heat treatment. Due to its unique properties, titanium is used in many critical services. Titanium is 45% lighter than steel, so it helps reduce weight, which is critical in offshore applications.
