It is rolled into strip steel after process treatment. Generally, the strip steel is unpacked, flattened, crimped, and welded to form a round tube, then the round tube is rolled into a square tube and then cut to the required length. Usually 50 pieces per pack.

304 covers the standard for wrought austenitic stainless steel pipe fittings for pressure piping applications. The material of pipe fittings shall include forgings, bars, plates or seamless or welded pipes. Forging or forming operations shall be performed by hammering, pressing, piercing, extruding, upsetting, rolling, bending, fusion welding, machining, or a combination of two or more of these operations. All accessories should be heat treated.

The low carbon content is making 904L sensitization resistance by welding and it thus prevents IGC.

Stainless steel 316/ 316L flanges can be made by hot forging or casting. Blind or sliding plate flanges without hubs can be machined directly from the plate. Flanges should be solution treated at not less than 1900¡ãF [1040¡ãC] and then quenched in cold water or other rapid cooling method.

Incoloy 925 flange provides good resistance to chloride ion stress-corrosion cracking.

Stainless steel flange simplified as SS flange, it refers to the flanges that made of stainless steel. Common material standards and Grades are ASTM A182 Grade F304/L and F316/L, with pressure ratings from Class 150, 300, 600 etc and to 2500.

The severity of corrosive environments may require annealing after welding or using 304L. Type 304L has a carbon content of 0.03% or less. This alloy can be used in the as-welded state without being affected by intergranular corrosion.
