AL6XN is primarily used for its improved pitting and crevice corrosion resistance in chlorides. It is a formable and weldable stainless steel.

Monel k500 round bar is an age hardening nickel base alloy. This nickel-based Monel UNS No5500 triangular bar also contains some elemental copper added to its alloy. Copper is known to have good corrosion resistance when added to Monel UNS 5500 spring steel bar, similar to alloy grade 400.

The most basic difference between grade 304 and grade 316 stainless steels is that 316 tends to have more nickel and a bit of molybdenum in the mix. The general mechanical properties of the two metals are mostly comparable. The increased nickel content and the inclusion of molybdenum allows for grade 316 stainless steel to have better chemical resistance than 304 stainless steel. 431 is a high chromium, low nickel, high hardenability martensitic stainless steel with high strength and good corrosion resistance.
