AL6XN is a superaustenitic stainless steel with outstanding resistance to chloride pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. AL6XN is a 6 moly alloy that was developed for and is used in highly aggressive environments. It has high nickel (24%), molybdenum (6.3%), nitrogen and chromium contents that give it excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, chloride pitting, and exceptional general corrosion resistance. AL6XN is primarily used for its improved pitting and crevice corrosion resistance in chlorides. It is a formable and weldable stainless steel.

A flange is a ring of steel (forged, cut from plate, or rolled) designed to connect sections of pipe, or to join pipe to a pressure vessel, valve, pump or other integral flanged assembly. Flanges are joined to each other by bolts, and to the piping system by welding or threading (or loose when stub ends are used). Stainless steel flange simplified as SS flange, it refers to the flanges that made of stainless steel. Incoloy Alloy 800 is widely used in equipment that must have high strength and resistance to oxidation, carburization and other harmful effects of high temperature exposure. The lower carbon content of 304L alloy helps to minimize/eliminate carbide precipitation during welding. This allows 304L stainless steel to be used “as welded”, even in severely corrosive environments. If you use standard 304 stainless steel in the same way, it will degrade faster at welded joints.

ASTM A182 F5 flanges are made of chrome-molybdenum steel alloy and therefore have high fracture resistance. Their low weight is also preferred due to their low carbon and high alloy properties. It is very resistant to sulfide corrosion cracking and can also withstand the attack of hydrogen.

ASTM A638 Grade 660 alloy is a precipitation hardening stainless steel suitable for high temperature applications. This grade is suitable for applications requiring good corrosion resistance and high strength at temperatures up to 700°C. It can be used for lower stress applications at higher temperatures.

Inconel 625 material has excellent strength and hardness. They have a minimum tensile strength of 120Ksi and a minimum yield strength of 60ksi. In addition to that, they can easily be stretched up to 30% and still have excellent workability.

Alloy 625 / Inconel 625 is used for its high strength, excellent fabricability (including joining), and outstanding corrosion resistance.

These salts may develop when hydrochloric acid comes in contact with iron and copper. Therefore, if this alloy is used in conjunction with iron or copper piping in a system containing hydrochloric acid, the presence of these salts could cause the alloy to fail prematurely.
