HASTELLOY C-276 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with universal corrosion resistance unmatched by any other alloy. It has outstanding resistance to a wide variety of chemical process environments including ferric and cupric chlorides, hot contaminated mineral acids, solvents, chlorine and chlorine contaminated (both organic and inorganic), dry chlorine, formic and acetic acids, acetic anhydride, sea water and brine solutions and hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solutions. Alloy C276 also resists formation of grain boundary precipitates in the weld heat affected zone making it useful for most chemical processes in the as-welded condition. It has excellent resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking.

Hastelloy C276 Flanges are made up of the nickel chromium molybdenum alloy that is called hastelloy. The composition includes 50.99% nickel, 14.5% chromium, 15% molybdenum and carbon, manganese, silicon, sulfur, cobalt, iron and phosphorus in it.

The primary alloy base materials for Hastelloy C276 include metals such as nickel, molybdenum and chromium. In addition to these three metals, Hastelloy C276 fasteners also have tungsten added. It is well known that the addition of tungsten to superalloys can improve the corrosion resistance of alloys in various harsh environments. Hastelloy C22, also known as Alloy C22, is a general purpose austenitic nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy with enhanced resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. High chromium content provides good oxidation resistance, while molybdenum and tungsten content provides good reduction resistance. Hastelloy C22 alloy also has excellent resistance to oxidizing aqueous media, including wet chlorine and nitric acid-containing mixtures or oxidizing acids containing chloride ions.

Hastelloy B2 is also known as UNS N10665 that is corrosion resistant and solid solution molybdenum-nickel alloy.
