AL6XN is a superaustenitic stainless steel with outstanding resistance to chloride pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. AL6XN is a 6 moly alloy that was developed for and is used in highly aggressive environments. It has high nickel (24%), molybdenum (6.3%), nitrogen and chromium contents that give it excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, chloride pitting, and exceptional general corrosion resistance. AL6XN is primarily used for its improved pitting and crevice corrosion resistance in chlorides. It is a formable and weldable stainless steel.

Nickel Alloy 400 and Monel 400, also known as UNS N04400, is a ductile nickel-copper-based alloy consisting primarily of two-thirds nickel and one-third copper. Grade F22 is a low alloy steel containing nominally 2.25% Chromium. The alloy is widely used in the oil patch wellhead applications for connectors, hangers and block valves. Hardness levels up to 22 HRC are approved to NACE MR0175. The grade is often used as the base metal for clad components.
If supplied to ASTM A182 in the normalised and tempered condition, the 0.2% Proof Stress minimum is 30 KSI.Grade 22 of the ASTM A182 alloy steel is a low-alloy steel that contains 2.25% chromium. Often used as base metal for clad components, the F22 is also used in the oil patch wellhead applications for products such as hangers, connectors, and block valves, among others.

Chromium and molybdenum are high in A335 pipes.
