The flange connection type usually comes with a double unit, with washers and some bolts and nuts to connect to each other. (The pipe is welded on the flange first, and then the valve and other equipment are installed on the flange.) When connecting these parts, put the gasket between the two flanges, and then tighten the flange screws so that the two are tightly connected together. Flange connection is convenient, flexible and labor-saving. When the pipeline is repaired, the screws on the flange can be removed, and the corresponding pipeline or valve can be removed. It is suitable for various concentrations of sulfuric acid below 70 ¡ãC, and has good corrosion resistance in acetic acid of any concentration and temperature under normal pressure, as well as in the mixed acid of formic acid and acetic acid.

316 pipe bend contains a minimum 2.0% molybdenum which makes it much more corrosion resistant than 304 however, as it is a more expensive element, generally makes 316 a more expensive grade of metal.

Fusion weldability of Type 304l stainless steel is excellent with or without fillers. The recommended filler rod and electrode for use with 304 stainless steel is grade 308 stainless steel. For 304L, the recommended packing is 308L. Heavy welded sections may require post weld annealing. The 304L does not require this step. If post weld heat treatment is not possible, grade 321 can be used.
