Nickel Alloy 400 and Monel 400, also known as UNS N04400, is a ductile nickel-copper-based alloy consisting primarily of two-thirds nickel and one-third copper. Inconel 601 is an alloy composed of nickel and chromium.

SS 321 hex bolts have a minimum tensile strength of 621MPa and a minimum yield strength of 276MPa. The material also has a high hardness of 80 HBW. Due to its high melting point, AISI 321 Nuts and Bolts are used in high temperature and high pressure applications. Grade 321 studs have oxidation resistance up to 1600 degrees Fahrenheit, are very stable to weld heat-affected zone (HAZ) interparticle corrosion, and are also resistant to polythionate stress corrosion cracking.

They can also resist aqueous corrosion and hence can be used in marine applications.

ASTM A403 WP316 is the standard molybdenum-bearing grade, second in importance to 304 amongst the austenitic stainless steels. SAE 304 stainless steel is the most common stainless steel. The steel contains both chromium (between 18% and 20%) and nickel (between 8% and 10.5%)[1] metals as the main non-iron constituents. It is an austenitic stainless steel. It is less electrically and thermally conductive than carbon steel. It is magnetic, but less magnetic than steel. It has a higher corrosion resistance than regular steel and is widely used because of the ease in which it is formed into various shapes.[1]

Inconel gaskets, such as Inconel 600, 601, 625, 686, 718 and 725 gaskets, are a family of nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys for high strength and good corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures. Due to its high thermal stability, Inconel can be used in operating temperatures from cryogenic to 2200¡ãF (982¡ãC). There is almost no corrosion to Inconel gaskets in mild environments such as atmosphere, seawater, neutral salt, and alkaline media. Because the high alloy content of Inconel gaskets enables them to withstand a variety of severe corrosive environments. In more severe corrosive environments, the combination of nickel and chromium provides resistance to oxidizing chemicals, while high nickel and molybdenum contents provide resistance to non-oxidizing environments.

Alloy 2205 gets the name Duplex because it is composed of two different types of grains. 40-50% of its grain structure is austenite and 50-60% of it is ferrite. It is closely related to, but much more popular than Alloy 255. In most environments, it surpasses 317L in crevice corrosion resistance. 2205 Duplex excels in chloride environments and resists hydrogen sulfide. 2205 Duplex has almost twice the strength of 316L. Due to the lower nickel and molybdenum content, it is less costly than Alloy C276. Among the places where 2205 Duplex is used include pressure vessels, heat exchangers and scrubbing systems.
