S32750 (2507) is a duplex stainless steel that combines many of the excellent properties of ferritic and austenitic steels. Due to its high chromium and molybdenum content, it exhibits excellent resistance to pitting, crevice and uniform corrosion. The two-phase microstructure ensures that the steel has high resistance to stress corrosion cracking and high mechanical strength. In addition, it also has the characteristics of strong resistance to chloride pitting, high thermal conductivity and low thermal expansion coefficient.

One exception, however, are strongly oxidizing acids such as nitric acid. Alloys that contain molybdenum generally do not perform as well in these environments.?
