Nickel Alloy 400 and Monel 400, also known as UNS N04400, is a ductile nickel-copper-based alloy consisting primarily of two-thirds nickel and one-third copper. Nickel Alloy 400 is known for its resistance to a variety of corrosive conditions, including alkalis (or acids), salt water, hydrofluoric acid, and sulfuric acid. Since Monel 400 or Alloy 400 is a cold worked metal, this alloy has high hardness, stiffness and strength. By cold working ASTM B164 UNS N04400 bar stock, the alloy is subjected to higher levels of mechanical stress, which in turn causes changes in the alloy’s microstructure.

Inconel 718 flanges have good resistance to oxidation and corrosion at temperatures within the effective strength range of the alloy in atmospheres encountered in jet engine and gas turbine operation.

Nuts are attached to corresponding bolts or rods to secure items. Cap nuts protect the threads of fasteners by preventing them from protruding. Therefore, in the past 30 years, it has been widely used in extremely corrosive natural environments such as chemical plants, petrochemicals, flue gas desulfurization, pulp and paper industry, and environmental protection.

Corrosion resistance

The aluminum alloy has the following characteristics: 1. It has good corrosion resistance to most corrosive substances under the two conditions of air oxidation and repair. ¢ÚIt has good resistance to pitting corrosion, void corrosion and intergranular corrosion. The higher content of Mo and Cr makes the aluminum alloy resistant to corrosion by chloride ion content, and the W element further improves the corrosion resistance. At the same time, Hastelloy C-276 aluminum alloy is one of the only types of raw materials that are resistant to wet chlorine, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide saturated solutions. Ester solution has obvious corrosion resistance. It is one of the very few raw materials that can be used as a hot sulfuric acid saturated solution.

For service requiring optimum creep and rupture properties, Incoloy 800H or 800 HT are used. The high contents of nickel and chromium in the alloys also give good corrosion resistance.

A182 alloy steel flanges are not only suitable for high temperature, but also for high pressure or a combination of the two.

UNS S31254 is an alloy material with anti-corrosion effect, its density is 8.0g/cm3, and the melting point is 1320-1390¡æ. High molybdenum content and high chromium and nitrogen content make UNSS31254 extremely good resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. The addition of copper improves corrosion resistance in certain acids. In addition, UNSS31254 has good resistance to stress corrosion cracking due to its high nickel content and high chromium and molybdenum content.

Alloy B2 (UNS N10665 / W.Nr. 2.4617) is a solid solution strengthened, nickel-molybdenum alloy, typically used in extreme reducing conditions.
