AL6XN is a superaustenitic stainless steel with outstanding resistance to chloride pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. AL6XN is a 6 moly alloy that was developed for and is used in highly aggressive environments. C276 Elbow has excellent corrosion resistance to a wide range of concentrated hot acids and reducing environments and can be easily used in hot sulfuric and hydrochloric applications.

Although 316L contains less carbon, 316 and 316L stainless steels cost approximately the same.

Hastelloy B3 fasteners offer the same excellent resistance to hydrochloric acid and other strong reducing chemicals as other B alloys, including B2, but with significantly enhanced thermal stability and easier fabrication. In addition, B3 fasteners are highly resistant to attack from cut lines and heat affected zones. Like B2 alloys, B3 fasteners are not recommended for use in the presence of iron or copper salts that can cause rapid corrosion failure.

1.4529 (UNS N08926) has very high resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in halide media and in acidic environments containing sulfur and hydrogen
It can effectively resist chloride ion stress corrosion, and also has good corrosion resistance and good stability in oxidizing and reducing media.
The mechanical properties are slightly better than 904L, and it can be used in the manufacture of pressure vessels from -196 to 400 ¡ãC.

Stainless steel also contains varying amounts of carbon, silicon and manganese. Other elements, such as nickel and molybdenum, can be added to impart other useful properties such as enhanced formability and enhanced corrosion resistance.

Super Duplex stainless steel offers the same advantages as its Duplex counterpart. The main difference between the two is that Super Duplex has a higher chromium and molybdenum content, resulting in increased corrosion resistance.

A flange is a ring of steel (forged, cut from plate, or rolled) designed to connect sections of pipe, or to join pipe to a pressure vessel, valve, pump or other integral flanged assembly. Flanges are joined to each other by bolts, and to the piping system by welding or threading (or loose when stub ends are used). Stainless steel flange simplified as SS flange, it refers to the flanges that made of stainless steel. Common material standards and Grades are ASTM A182 Grade F304/L and F316/L, with pressure ratings from Class 150, 300, 600 etc and to 2500. It used in more industries than carbon steel as stainless steel has better resistant performances on corrosion environment and always provides with a good appearance.

Incoloy 800H fasteners and Incoloy 800HT fastener alloys are mainly high in nickel and chromium. Meanwhile, Inconel 800H/800HT? (UNS N08810 & N08811 / W.Nr. 1.4958 & 1.4959) is a solution-strengthened iron-nickel-chromium alloy usually offered as a dual-certified alloy that meets the elemental requirements of both alloys.

Alloy 825 rods are good electrical conductors and can also be used for many electrical purposes. These nickel 825 rods resist intergranular corrosion in the as-welded condition. Nickel 825 Round Rods have a high level of resistance to a variety of oxidizing species including nitric acid, nitrates and oxidizing salts. Alloy 20 was originally developed for use in sulfuric acid service found in facilities such as pulp and paper mills. With good general corrosion properties, Alloy 20 usage has expanded in chemical, petrochemical and power generation plants.

This heat treatment performed on the Duplex 2205 Pipe must be keeping with accordance to the specified temperature and quench conditions.

Fusion weldability of Type 304l stainless steel is excellent with or without fillers. The recommended filler rod and electrode for use with 304 stainless steel is grade 308 stainless steel. For 304L, the recommended packing is 308L. Heavy welded sections may require post weld annealing. The 304L does not require this step. If post weld heat treatment is not possible, grade 321 can be used.

Applications and Materials
Normalizing is mainly used for normalizing the structure of carbon steel and low alloy steel after forging, hot rolling or casting. The hardness obtained after normalizing depends on the steel dimensional analysis and the cooling rate used (approximately 100-250 HB).

The flanges may be made from forgings, castings, or plates covering various types and classes of ASME B16.5 and ASME B16.47 (both Series A and Series B). Stainless steel 304/ 304L flanges of ASME B16.5 are available in Classes 150, 300, 400, 600, 900, 1500, 2500.

The grade of carbon steel flanges are helpful in stainless steel pipe flanges, forged fittings, valves, rolled alloy, and other high-temperature services.
