It has high nickel (24%), molybdenum (6.3%), nitrogen and chromium contents that give it excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, chloride pitting, and exceptional general corrosion resistance. AL6XN is primarily used for its improved pitting and crevice corrosion resistance in chlorides. It is a formable and weldable stainless steel.

Nickel-copper-based alloy 400 Monel 2.4360 cold drawn rod is virtually immune to chloride stress-related corrosion cracking when exposed to corrosive media in typical environments. Monel 400 is a copper and nickel based alloy that is popular today due to its high performance. The alloy has excellent acid and alkali resistance. Additionally, it can be used in applications with temperatures ranging from minus to 538 degrees Celsius.
