AL-6XN is an alloy that is an austenitic stainless steel. It is often referred to as a super austenitic stainless steel because it has several useful properties. Carbon steel forgings, manufactured in accordance with ASTM A105, are generally used for piping applications. These forged carbon steel piping components (including flanges, fittings, and valves, etc) are used for ambient- and higher-temperature service in pressure systems. The A105N, which is designated with a suffix ¡°N¡±, denotes that the A105 forging shall be furnished in normalized condition. If the forgings are used for piping applications of ASME BPVC or ASME B31, the material shall be its identical equivalent of SA-105 or SA-105N. In short, the heat treatment of normalization distinguishes A105N from A105, or SA-105N from SA-105. ASTM A105 Flange is a specification of flanges. Incoloy 926 (N08926) nickel-based alloy contains 14.0-18.0% Cr and 24.0-26.0% Ni. It is a nickel-based alloy containing titanium and aluminum, with enough chromium to form and maintain a sufficient scale of chromium oxide to protect it under high temperature conditions.

Incoloy 800HT RTJ Flanges Incoloy 800 / 800H / 800HT Flanges are furnished with nickel-chromium-iron alloys that intend outstanding resistance and strength at harsh environments. The flanges exhibit superior resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking and crevice corrosion. Even more, it also shows superior intergranular corrosion, stress rupture and creepy aspects. ALLOY400 is a single-phase solid-solution Ni-Cu alloy with good mechanical properties from sub-zero temperatures up to about 550 ¡ãC (1020 ¡ãF) and is approved for pressure vessels with wall temperatures from -10 to 425 ¡ãC (14 to 800 ¡ãF) according to VdTUV-Wbl. 263 and up to 900 ¡ãF (480 ¡ãC) according to ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.

S31803 is the Unified Numbering System (UNS) designation for the original duplex stainless steel. The UNS system was created by multiple trade groups in the 1970s to reduce confusion when the same alloy was called different things, and vice versa. Each metal is represented by a letter followed by five numbers, where the letter represents the metal series, i.e. S for stainless steel.

For paper mill applications requiring lower alloy grades that do not have sufficient corrosion resistance. Based on a 22% chromium content, they have a combined austenitic:ferritic microstructure that provides greater strength, corrosion resistance and cost-effectiveness.

The UNS S31803 (ASTM F51) specification has been largely superseded by UNS S32205 (1.4462, ASTM F60). This reflects their desire to maximize the alloy’s corrosion properties, thanks to the development of the AOD steelmaking process, which allows for tighter control of composition. In addition, it allows to influence the nitrogen addition level rather than just being present as a background element. Therefore, the highest performing duplex grades seek to maximize the content of chromium (Cr), molybdenum (Mo) and nitrogen (N).

Chemically, Incoloy fasteners are composed of nickel, iron and chromium as the primary alloy materials. In addition to these elements, trace amounts of molybdenum, copper and titanium are added to the B425 N08825 alloy. Components made from this alloy, including various Inconel 825 bolts and nuts, are less prone to deformation. This is because the alloy has a stable FCC microstructure. Like many conventional austenitic grade stainless steels, Alloy 825 threaded rod has a stable austenitic structure.

The austenitic structure of 316L also gives these grades excellent toughness, even at low temperatures.
