Stainless Steel 904L Flange is a method of connecting pipes, valves, pumps and other equipment to form a piping system. It also provides easy access for cleaning, inspection or modification. Flanges are usually welded or screwed. Flanged joints are made by bolting together two flanges with a gasket between them to provide a seal.

Duplex 2205 stainless steels are called “duplex” because they have a two-phase microstructure consisting of ferritic and austenitic stainless steel grains. When duplex stainless steel melts, it solidifies from the liquid phase to a fully ferritic structure. As the material cools to room temperature, about half of the ferrite grains transform into austenite grains (“islands”). The result is a microstructure of approximately 50% austenite and 50% ferrite.

Type 304 stainless steel is a T 300 Series Stainless Steel austenitic. It has a minimum of 18% chromium and 8% nickel, combined with a maximum of 0.08% carbon. It is defined as a Chromium-Nickel austenitic alloy.304 stainless steel is used for a variety of household and industrial applications such as food handling and processing equipment, screws,[3] machinery parts, utensils, and exhaust manifolds. 304 stainless steel is also used in the architectural field for exterior accents such as water and fire features. Alloy 925 is a nickel-based alloy with major additions of iron and chromium, but also molybdenum, copper, titanium, and aluminum. The combination of high strength and corrosion resistance makes it suitable for applications such as valves, hangers, packers and pipes in sour gas environments. It can also be used for fasteners and pump shafts in marine environments.

The combination of nickel and chromium provides protection in both oxidizing and reducing atmospheres. The high nickel content also provides resistance to chloride ion stress corrosion cracking. Resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion is also excellent. The alloy is produced by a vacuum remelting process, but can be supplied using an air melting single-consumer electrode (VAR or ESR) practice if material specifications permit.

The ASTM A307 specification covers carbon steel bolts and studs ranging in diameter from 1/4″ to 4″. This is your everyday mill bolt specification, usually made from A36 round bar. The C-2000 fastener (UNS N06200) is unique among other Hastelloy alloys with approximately 1.6% copper added to its chemical composition. These properties make them ideal for applications such as heat exchangers and industrial reactors.

Type 316/316L is a chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steel containing molybdenum. The addition of molybdenum improves corrosion resistance compared to 304/304L in halide environments and in reducing acids such as sulfuric and phosphoric acid. Type 316L can be dual certified as 316 when the composition meets the carbon lower limit of 316L and the slightly higher strength level of 316.

Steel flanges provide an easy access for cleaning, inspection or modification. They usually come in round shapes but they can also come in square and rectangular forms. The flanges are joined to each other by bolting and joined to the piping system by welding or threading and are designed to the specific pressure ratings; 150lb, 300lb, 400lb, 600lb, 900lb, 1500lb and 2500lb.

The Alloy 20 Flanges is known for its excellent corrosion resistance, even in harsh chemical environments. The flange is second most used joining method after selding. Flanges are used when joints need dismantling. It provides flexibility for maintenance. Flange connects the pipe with various equipment and valves. Breakup flanges are added in the pipeline system if regular maintenance in required during plant operation.
