The Corrosion Resistant HASTELLOY alloys are widely used by the chemical processing industries. The need for reliable performance leads to their acceptance and growth in the areas of energy, health and environmental, oil and gas, pharmaceutical and flue gas desulfurization industries.

This provides greatly enhanced resistance to sulfuric acid. It also has a high chromium content, to maximize its resistance to oxidizing chemicals and process streams contaminated with ferric ions and dissolved oxygen.

UNS N08367 also commonly referred to as alloy AL6XN is a low carbon, high purity, nitrogen-bearing “super-austenitic” nickel-molybdenum alloy with excellent resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion.

Titanium’s density is about 60% that of stainless steel and nickel alloys, this weight saving makes it a popular choice in applications where this is critical such as aerospace.

Nickel Alloy 400 and Monel 400, also known as UNS N04400, is a ductile nickel-copper-based alloy consisting primarily of two-thirds nickel and one-third copper. Nickel Alloy 400 is known for its resistance to a variety of corrosive conditions, including alkalis (or acids), salt water, hydrofluoric acid, and sulfuric acid. Since Monel 400 or Alloy 400 is a cold worked metal, this alloy has high hardness, stiffness and strength. By cold working ASTM B164 UNS N04400 bar stock, the alloy is subjected to higher levels of mechanical stress, which in turn causes changes in the alloy’s microstructure.

AL6XN is primarily used for its improved pitting and crevice corrosion resistance in chlorides. It is a formable and weldable stainless steel.

Alloy 800 is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with high strength and excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion at high temperatures. ASTM B407 UNS N08800 Incoloy 800 W. Stainless Steel 304/304L/304H WN Flanges
Featuring 304 stainless steel for very good corrosion resistance, this GRAINGER APPROVED weld neck flange can be attached to a system via a circumferential weld at the neck. The welded area can be easily examined by radiography. Matched pipe and flange bore reduces turbulence and erosion inside the pipeline. Flange is excellent for use in your critical applications and is ideal for use with air, water, oil, natural gas, and steam.

The fittings are also hard with a Brinell hardness sore of 210HB maximum. These can also operate under very high temperatures up to 870 degrees Celsius.

Alloy 310 (UNS S31000) is an austenitic stainless steel developed for high temperature corrosion resistant applications. The alloy resists oxidation up to 2010oF (1100oC) under mild cycling conditions. Due to its high chromium and moderate nickel content, alloy 310 is resistant to sulfidation and can also be used in moderate carburizing atmospheres.

Manufactured from 304/304L or 316/316L stainless steel with milled inside and outside diameters (ID/OD). These stainless steel welded joints meet ASTM A403, ASTM A960, MSS SP-4, ASTM B16.9 (except for walls), and MSS SP-43.

304 fittings are standard “18/8” stainless steel; it is the most versatile and widely used stainless steel available in a wider range of products, forms and finishes than any other. It has excellent forming and welding characteristics.

Incoloy Alloy 800 is widely used in equipment that must have high strength and resistance to oxidation, carburization and other harmful effects of high temperature exposure. For services requiring optimum creep and rupture properties, use Incoloy 800H or 800 HT. The high content of nickel and chromium in the alloy also provides good corrosion resistance.

INCONEL 800H/HT – Alloy 800 (UNS N08800/1.4876) is a widely used material for equipment construction requiring corrosion, heat, strength and stability up to 1500¡ãF (816¡ãC) . Incoloy Inconel Alloy 800 has moderate corrosion resistance to many aqueous media and is resistant to stress corrosion cracking due to its nickel content.

Incoloy 800H and 800HT are members of the Incoloy 800 family of alloys and have the same chemical composition, but slightly different levels of carbon, titanium and aluminum. We manufacture Incoloy 800/H/HT fasteners with excellent resistance to oxidation, water and reducing environments. Due to their excellent tensile strength and toughness, these fasteners can operate efficiently in high temperature and high pressure environments.

To keep track of the distinguishing characteristics of steel, manufacturers have created a naming system that is both systematic and exhaustive.

Alloy steel is steel that is alloyed with a variety of elements in total amounts between 1.0% and 50% by weight to improve its mechanical properties. The chromium content of this alloy results in superior resistance to oxidizing environments. The high molybdenum content makes alloy 625 very resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion.

ASTM A403 WP316 is the standard molybdenum-bearing grade, second in importance to 304 amongst the austenitic stainless steels. The molybdenum gives 316 better overall corrosion resistant properties than Grade 304, particularly higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments.

S31803 Duplex Steel is a 22% chromium duplex (austenitic/ferritic) steel with moderate to good strength and good general corrosion/stress corrosion/cracking resistance.

ASTM A182 Alloy Steel Pipe Fittings are very easy to install and have a low hub due to the pipe going into the fitting before welding.

ASTM A789 A789M Covers Grades of nominal wall thickness, stainless steel tubing for services requiring general corrosion resistance, with particular emphasis on resistance to stress corrosion cracking. Its outstanding strength and toughness in temperature ranges from cryogenic temperatures to high temperature up to 2000¡ã F (1093¡ã C) are derived primarily from the solid solution effects of the refractory metals Columbium and molybdenum in a nickel-chromium matrix.

Stainless Steel 316L tube is made of austenitic stainless steel with chromium, nickel and molybdenum in its composition, with a carbon content lower than grade 316. The low carbon content of the pipe makes it easier for welding applications.

Hastelloy B3 bolts are also known as alloy B-3 bolts and can be found under UNS N10675. This alloy is extremely resistant to pure hydrobromic, sulfuric and hydrochloric acids. Many industries, including the chemical industry, consider the alloy easy to machine, and its ductility allows machinists to easily form and even weld.

The alloy’s properties make it an excellent choice for sea-water applications, including freedom from local attack (pitting and crevice corrosion), high corrosion-fatigue strength, high tensile strength, and resistance to chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking.

Super Duplex UNS S32760 has high resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. For optimum corrosion resistance, a pickled or machined surface finish is recommended.
