Inconel 600 round bar is a nickel-based alloy with benign carburization and excellent corrosion resistance at high temperatures. Inconel 600 round bars are effective against drying Cl2 and many other different gases at mild and high temperatures. Nickel Alloy 400 and Monel 400, also known as UNS N04400, is a ductile nickel-copper-based alloy consisting primarily of two-thirds nickel and one-third copper. Since Monel 400 or Alloy 400 is a cold worked metal, this alloy has high hardness, stiffness and strength. By cold working ASTM B164 UNS N04400 bar stock, the alloy is subjected to higher levels of mechanical stress, which in turn causes changes in the alloy’s microstructure.

It demonstrates good resistance to neutral and reducing environments. This alloy creates a tenacious oxide, protective film that does not spall off, but it retains superior oxidation resistance at soaring temperatures.

Grade 316 pipe bend also has given excellent service in potable water. Pitting and crevice corrosion may occur in waters with higher chloride content, and 2000 ppm is accepted as the upper limit. The higher molybdenum content of 316 make it significantly more corrosion resistant than grade 304.

SAE 304 stainless steel is the most common stainless steel. The steel contains both chromium (between 18% and 20%) and nickel (between 8% and 10.5%)[1] metals as the main non-iron constituents. It is an austenitic stainless steel. It is less electrically and thermally conductive than carbon steel. It is magnetic, but less magnetic than steel. It has a higher corrosion resistance than regular steel and is widely used because of the ease in which it is formed into various shapes.[1]

In addition to nickel, the alloy also contains a large amount of copper. Not only does copper make the UNS S08904 screw resistant to seawater and salt water, it also improves the alloy’s sulphur resistance. The addition of copper content to stainless steel 904L hex bolts provides higher corrosion resistance than conservative chromium-nickel alloys, especially phosphoric, acetic and sulfuric acids.

These stainless steel ASTM A453 Grade 660 bolts can be used up to 700¡ãC. This alloy achieves high tensile strength through a high degree of homogeneity. ASTM A286 bolts have an impressive minimum yield strength of 105,000 psi. Because SA 453 660 grade material retains its high strength even at high temperatures, these fasteners and bolts are commonly used in high temperature environments such as jet engines, turbocharger components, and gas turbines.

Super Duplex 2507 (F53 / 1.4410 / UNS S32750) has excellent corrosion resistance to a variety of media, and has excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in seawater and other chloride-containing environments, with a critical pitting temperature exceeding 50¡ãC.

In high temperature environments, 316 stainless steel tends to outperform 304.

Monel 400 bolts can also be used at higher temperatures. While Monel 400 bolts are typically used at elevated temperatures, they retain their mechanical properties at sub-zero temperatures. The increased hardness at freezing temperatures has been shown to only slightly impair the ductility or impact resistance of Monel 400 bolts. Even when cooled to the temperature of liquid hydrogen, Monel 400 will not undergo the ductile to brittle transition that can lead to fracture. This is especially unique compared to most ferrous materials, which are generally stronger but very brittle at extreme low temperatures.

904L bolts are manufactured to DIN, ISO, ASME, ANSI, UNI, BS and BIS dimensional standards and tolerances. We manufacture precision bolts and other fasteners of SS 904L using high quality raw materials. High-alloy stainless steel grade 904L is an austenitic alloy. One of the highlights of using this alloy is the excellent resistance to SCC or stress-related corrosion cracking of stainless steel 904L fasteners.

ASTM A479 Duplex Steel UNS S31803 Nuts have excellent general corrosion resistance in a variety of aggressive chemicals including seawater and industrial acids. The microstructure of ASME SA 479 Duplex Steel UNS S32205 Hex Nuts consists of a mixture of austenitic and ferritic phases. Therefore, it exhibits the properties of austenitic and ferritic stainless steels.

Hastelloy C-276 is the most common corrosion resistant material currently available, but it is not foolproof. Metals should not be exposed to high temperature, strong acid environment. Also, it is easier to work with cold working practices; hot working makes it easier to harden. If hot working, the temperature should be maintained between 1600¡ãF and 2250¡ãF.

Hastelloy C-276 fasteners and other products in the Hastelloy family have excellent resistance to corrosion and oxidizing and reducing chemicals. Due to its adaptability, Hastelloy C-276 alloy can be used in problem areas and is more likely to occur in process areas. In Hastelloy C276 hex bolts, the chromium content is increased to about 21% and the molybdenum content is reduced to about 13%. Hastelloy C276 Heavy Duty Hex Bolts also provide optimum resistance to environments encountered in reducing and oxidizing conditions in the process stream.

Products made from alloy steel perform far better than those made from carbon steel. Although they are less expensive than stainless steel grades, they are less resistant to corrosion than stainless steel but more resistant than carbon steel pipe.
